Pilasters

A pilaster is a flat profile that fits tightly to the surface of the wall, visually reminiscent of a column. It has three components, the top is in the form of a capital, the middle is the body, and the bottom is the base. The body is covered with vertical flutes (a vertical groove shaped like a semicircle or segment). They often serve in order architecture and perform not only a decorative, but also a constructive function. They have different body widths from 110 mm - 197 mm and a standard length of 2000 mm. It is used to decorate niches, door and window openings, and can also be additionally combined with moldings and caps in the form of capitals (left and right included). Pilasters can also be used to decorate a fireplace or library system. They add expressiveness and aristocracy to the interior.
